Is suffering part of a divine plan?
Your personal resurrection
Toni King, Unity Minister, Unity Center of Reno
“Jesus lived so that we may live life abundantly.” Suffering isn’t part of that equation. Bad things happen, but suffering is a choice. We can train our minds to release control, to not take anything personally, and see difficulties as “for us”, not “against us”. For example, our Master Teacher may have died on a cross, but if he was stuck in a consciousness of suffering, he wouldn’t have been able to raise himself from the dead.
The time is upon us to cultivate an awareness of our own divinity. Anyone can experience a metaphorical crucifixion, but can you flip the script from suffering to a realization of your oneness with God? With tools and practice, humans have the innate ability to experience a resurrection of the soul from the depths of despair by recognizing the Love that we are. Ultimately, suffering is a choice we don’t have to make.
