Should church-state lines be redrawn in USA?

Unity’s 1st and 2nd Principles: “There is One Power and Presence active in the universe and in our lives — and It is Good”; and “All people are made in the image of this Source Power, so our core essence is Good.” If we conducted ourselves with this understanding, I would promote integrating Spiritual Truths into government systems. But unless we’re actively participating with intention to broaden and deepen an awareness of the Divine moving in and through all things, including ourselves, then what we’ll continue to see is discord between religions. Too many leaders prioritize their own beliefs, disregarding folks with differing beliefs, while modeling prayers to curry God’s favor in battle and foreign affairs. This misguided understanding of the One Power behind all creation doesn’t reflect the Truth of us. As we learn to love our neighbor, government will flow from the image of the Divine that we are.

Rev. Toni King’s Lesson: The Power of Forgiveness

There is a reciprocal relationship between divine and human forgiveness emphasizing reconciliation, mercy, and the transformative power of God’s grace. We are called to forgive others for not being who we want them to be, while letting go the idea of perfection we hold for ourselves.
Scriptural References: Ephesians 4:32 , “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Matthew 18:21-22, “…’I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times…'”
Colossians 3:13, “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you”
Denial/Affirmations:
I let go of my idea of perfection and my belief of how everything should be.
I am comforted by the awareness that God has a better plan.
I step into my Power as a divine heir to the Kingdom
