Can sexual intimacy be a path to spiritual experience?

Sexual intimacy can become a transcendent experience when a divine connection exists between partners. “To those who have a love of sex, the feelings of romance and physical excitement are not the same thing at all. But to those who have an enlightened love of one of the [sexes], the tender feelings of love merge into the desire to give and receive sexual pleasure.” (Stephen Russell-Lacy @spiritualquestions.org/uk) Spiritual experiences are intimately personal with the power to transform one’s understanding of Divine Presence and the unity that exists among all beings.

Sexual intimacy is one potential path to gain such illuminating insight because our capacity for raw honesty and vulnerability can take us to higher realms. It’s the moment when that which powers the universe – Love – is demonstrated at the human level – love – that we come to share true intimacy with another, thereby experiencing the god-of-us in the here and now..

We will look at 3 qualities at each workshop through music, journal writing, small group sharing and movement.
Lunch will be provided and the love offering $25-45 is suggested. We are a loving community of women who accept you as you are and support you in becoming even more of who you are meant to be.
