What is it that fears death—the body, the ego, or the mind?

Pain of love lost
Toni King, Unity Minister, Unity Center of Reno

Charles Fillmore, Co-Founder of Unity, said death “is caused by man’s failure to comply fully with God’s law.” Although he was referencing advanced metaphysical teachings we won’t address here, “fear” is clearly outside of God’s law. Our souls carry every nuance of consciousness from the surface interpretations of everyday life to the depths of the Akashic records. The soul remembers pain recorded in the body and, when triggered, the mind recalls that pain. But to give yourself over to that pain is to know release and finally, to understand Love. Loss of the body isn’t the death we fear. What we dread more than anything is separation from Love. Our fear is that death will separate us from the connections of love we’ve made within our human loving relationships, while we forget that human love is derivative of God’s Love, That which we can never be without – dead or alive.

Sunday Sneak Peek

We inspire and foster Spiritual Growth in One another and in the community.

Rev. Toni King’s Lesson: The Power of the Word

The Big Bang was not the “beginning” as the eternal Creator has no beginning, and Logos (the Word) is not the booming voice of a patriarchal God, but rather the still, small voice within. The Word of God is both the Source of all creation in thought, word, and deed, as well as the Created — the I Am of us.

John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Genesis 1:26, “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;…'”

John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Denial/Affirmation:

I let go of doubt and thoughts of unworthiness, and

I step into my Power as a divine heir to the Kingdom.
